Continental Cross King ProTection 26 x 2.20 (55-559) tire

The Continental Cross King BlackChili ProTection is an MTB tire developed in collaboration with the Topeak Ergon team to offer excellent performance combined with reliable grip on all types of terrain. Its versatile tread pattern performs effectively in both dry and wet conditions, while the optimized sidewalls improve rim interaction, especially when set up tubeless.

Handcrafted in Germany at Continental's Korbach plant, it meets high quality standards. The BlackChili Compound provides approximately 30% more grip and 26% better rolling resistance compared to conventional silica compounds, while maintaining excellent durability. The ProTection construction, with its continuous reinforced layer, increases cut and puncture resistance without compromising rolling performance.

In size 26 x 2.20" (ETRTO 55-559), with a 180 TPI (3-ply) casing and a weight of approximately 570 g, this model is compatible with e-bikes up to 25 km/h. The recommended pressure of 3.0 to 4.0 bar (44–58 PSI) and compatibility with rims from 19 to 29 mm internal width make it a suitable choice for cross-country, marathon, and sporty rides.
