Continental Cross King ProTection 26 x 2.20 (55-559) tire

The Continental Cross King BlackChili ProTection is an MTB tire developed in collaboration with the Topeak Ergon team to offer excellent efficiency combined with reliable off-road grip. Its versatile tread pattern performs effectively in both dry and wet conditions, while the optimized sidewalls improve interaction with the rim, particularly in Tubeless Ready setups.

Handmade in Germany at the Continental factory in Korbach, it meets high quality standards. The BlackChili Compound provides approximately 30% more grip and a 26% improvement in rolling resistance compared to standard silica compounds, while maintaining high durability. The ProTection construction, with its continuous reinforced layer, increases resistance to cuts and punctures without compromising rolling performance.

In the 26 x 2.20" size (ETRTO 55-559), with a 180 TPI (3-ply) casing and a weight of approximately 570 g, this model is compatible with e-bikes up to 25 km/h. The recommended pressure of 3.0 to 4.0 bar (44–58 PSI) and compatibility with rims ranging from 19 to 29 mm in internal width make it a relevant choice for cross-country, marathon, and sporty rides.
