SHIMANO 11-speed SS Rear Derailleur RD-R8000 Ultegra

The Shimano ULTEGRA RD-R8000-SS rear derailleur is designed for mechanical 2x11-speed road drivetrains. Its short SS cage is suitable for cassettes with a large sprocket from 25 to 30 teeth and a small sprocket from 11 to 14 teeth. With a total capacity of 35 teeth, it is particularly suitable for 52/36 or 50/34 configurations combined with a cassette up to 11-30.

SHIMANO Shadow RD technology adopts a lower and more integrated profile, which brings the derailleur body closer to the cassette. This design limits its exposure in the event of impact and maintains a consistent distance from the sprockets to promote precise drivetrain operation.

The optimized cage angle and 11-tooth pulleys ensure quick and crisp gear changes across the entire cassette. Made from aluminum, steel, and composite, the RD-R8000-SS attaches to a standard derailleur hanger and is also compatible with Shimano Direct Mount.
