Bike repair and maintenance in Paris 13: your local workshop

Réparation et entretien de vélo à Paris 13 : votre atelier de quartier

A flat tire, a chain coming off, squeaky brakes — these are small daily problems that can quickly ruin a ride. The Routes and Roads workshop, located at 14 place de Rungis in the 13th arrondissement near Place d'Italie, handles all types of repairs, from simple adjustments to complete overhauls.

What our mechanics prioritize during a complete overhaul:

  • The drivetrain — chain, cassette, chainring. A chain worn by more than 0.75% elongation starts to wear out the cassette. Changing the chain in time costs 3 times less than changing the entire set.
  • The brakes — pads, cables, discs. On a gravel bike used in all weather, pads last an average of 2,000 to 4,000 km.
  • The wheels — trueness, spoke tension, rim condition. An untrue wheel stresses the frame and makes the bike unpredictable on descents.
  • The steering and bottom bracket — play that is invisible to the naked eye but can be heard and gradually wears down.

We work on all types of bikes: gravel, road, mountain bikes, city bikes, and cargo bikes. Small repairs are often completed the same day.
